Photoshop

The fireflies were all created on their own layers to be animated seperately.

This background was designed to hold an animated fairy that peeks out from behind the root on the left side of the screen, climb onto the top of it, jump to the right and then fly to the foreground where she would sit down and examine the firefly she caught.

The animation of the fairy is still in progress, being put on the back burner for other projects. ( I guess that is why personal projects tend to take longer then commissioned ones)

Looks so peaceful. I can't wait to see the animated firefly move about! I think this would make an dazzling background for something! I so want an animetion program.... only thing I have to work with is paint shop pro animetion shop.

They have recently come out with Premiere Elements... it runs around $80 (I think) and is very much like the regular version and it is pretty easy to learn. They made this a more affordably version for the everyday users. This will be my next purchase! I can't wait....

This background is in my demo reel, but I haven't been able to get it to play right online... I am reworking my reel and then I will be trying a new compression... I will make sure I add it here, too! Right now the pixelated version is linked through my conceptart.org posts. ThanX for all of the comments... helps me stay motivated when i start slowing down! And the animation, when finished, will be of a fairy catching a firefly then admiring it in the jar... hopefully it will be as cute when it is finished as it is in my head!

No problem! and thanks you for telling me the info on the animotion program, is it the same program as the adode elements? I couldn't figure out how to use that one, but I haven't really tryed hard enough tho. I can't wait to see the animation, it sounds really cute!

There are 2 different Elements programs... there is Photoshop Elements, which can be used just like photoshop (it is geared more for the digital camera user, but has most of the same stuff as photoshop, except it doesn't support CMYK) and the second program is Premiere Elements (haven't found significant differences between the elements version and the regular version, but I am sure there are a few).... you can get a bundle package with both programs from adobe for about $150, seperately they run about $80 each.... much more affordable then the pro versions....Chat soon~good luck!
